Privacy
Spilaborg is run by Baroxa ehf, registered in Reykjavík, Iceland. We try to keep this site as simple as the games on it. The short version: your game state lives on your device; we show a small number of ads, and we explain below what that means for cookies.
What we store on your device
The site uses your browser's local storage to remember:
- Your preferred card-back colour and theme.
- Your Blackjack bankroll, so it survives a refresh.
- An in-progress Solitaire hand, if one exists.
- Whether you have dismissed the cookies banner.
That data lives on your device only. Clearing your browser's site data for spilaborg.is removes everything.
Advertising
To keep Spilaborg free we run a small number of ads — at most one slot per page, placed so they don't get in the way of play. We pick ad networks that don't auto-play video and don't load content-recommendation chumboxes.
What you should know:
- Ad providers see your IP address when their script loads. That's how the open web works; we can't change it.
- Some ad providers set their own cookies to limit how often you see the same ad and to detect fraud. These cookies are first-party to the ad provider, not to us.
- Where the network supports it, we request the non-personalised / privacy-preserving ad mode. EU and UK visitors will see a separate consent prompt from the ad provider where required.
- We don't sell your data, run retargeting pixels, or stitch your activity together with any other site.
What we still don't do
- We don't run third-party analytics on you (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Hotjar).
- There are no accounts, no profiles, no email collection.
- We don't share your game state or any identifier with the ad provider.
Fonts
The site loads the Newsreader and IBM Plex Sans typefaces from Google Fonts. Google's servers see your IP address when fonts are fetched; we don't receive that information. If you'd rather avoid even that, a privacy-blocker extension will fall back to system fonts cleanly.
